Studies have shown that the percentage of CD11c-positive cells in each group was 78% after stimulation by the polysaccharide of Psyllium spp., Indicating that the purity of DCs cells in each group was more consistent. When the four kinds of psyllium polysaccharides had a mass concentration of 50 μg • mL-1, the ratios of CD11c + and MHC Ⅱ + double-positive cells were up-regulated. The 80% ethanol extract of Psyllium plantaini was subjected to protein precipitation to obtain a sample (ES-PL) and its effect on the immune system was studied. The results show that ES-PL significantly promotes the maturation of DCs effect. Polysaccharides, ergot saponins, and isosergosides are chemical components isolated from Psyllium, The effects of these components on DCs were discussed, and the results showed that they all had good immune-enhancing activity, which was induced by the maturation of DCs.
Antioxidant and hypolipidemic effect
High-fat diet was used to feed healthy adult SD rats to induce hyperlipidemia, and different doses of psyllium were added. The results showed that psyllium reduced rat serum cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG) and The effect of malondialdehyde (MDA) content is very significant. It has a significant effect on increasing the ratio of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) to HDL-C / TC, and can also enhance superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidation. Catalase (CAT) activity increases nitric oxide (NO) content.
